Davin has hosted many winning radio shows from the East to the West Coast. While he got his start in his hometown of Oklahoma City, his career really began to launch after he left Texas for KIISfm in Los Angeles. His real world, major market lessons served him well when he left LA for the East Coast as he went to WWKX / Providence to become the music Director and and host a #1 rated night show with record high ratings. This was also the place where he met his future wife & mother of his children, Ana.
Bringing Ana along with him, he hosted several other winning shows : in Sacramento & Denver.
He got his first taste of morning drive in Bakersfield when he was teamed up with Ana for the first time. With her previous experience in mornings in Boston & Providence and Davin’s creativity, they were able to take their very first morning show to first place within less than a year, beating syndicated shows : “Mark & Brian” & “Bob & Tom” in the process.
They repeated this success later in Corpus Christi, Tucson, Fort Wayne and most recently had HUGE success in morning drive in Denver.
During their time in Denver as a morning show, they were “discovered” by Shadoe Stevens who wanted the content of their show for a new global project : Cabo Wabo Radio, that Shadoe was designing for Sammy Hagar’s new station / entity. In addition, they’ve attracted the attention of
Fastlane Entertainment ( A TV / Film production company) in Santa Monica, CA. Fastlane fell
in love with their compelling, yet down to earth, personalities and are now seeking to develop a TV reality series around them & the next radio station on which they land.
Davin’s work ethic and commitment to great radio has opened up many doors & titles throughout his career. He’s successfully hosted every day part available, been a music director twice, and APD, a Promotions Director and does most of his own imaging whenever possible.
Davin has the special ability to take nearly nothing and turn it into success. He specializes in out of the box thinking and guerilla marketing strategies.
ON THE PERSONAL SIDE, Davin is now a “young” devoted father of two, Izabel & Dillon, who enjoys using his sense of humor to help raise them and enjoys watching them be “kids”. Davin, a former athlete, enjoys all kinds of competition.. (Everything from Golf to Martial Arts) He also has a passion for automobiles. When he’s not finding funny things to talk about on the air, he’s probably doing something to make his vehicles a little faster or more fun to drive. Musically, Davin enjoys pretty much anything that’s melodic. He grew up listening to Rock along with all kinds of R&B but if asked “what will you listen to anytime, any day?” His answer will always be “Reggae”. His favorite things to watch on TV are mostly comedies - everything from SNL to the Office. Being a fan of sketch comedy & dry humor, Davin always uses those types of shows as creative inspiration.
